Viridian Creations

Building highly optimized modular applications, custom micro-utilities, and custom game engines.

What we build

Modular applications, custom micro-utilities, and game engines — engineered for performance and built to be maintained.

About us

Viridian Creations is a small studio building modular applications, custom micro-utilities, and game engines. We favour software that stays fast, stays small, and stays maintainable years after launch.

The main build

Your week, your money and your projects on one page

Tasks, calendar, habits, coursework, recipes, spending and a vault — as widgets on one grid you lay out yourself. Three paid tiers, split by what happens to your data rather than by a feature wall.

Four decisions the whole thing rests on

01

One grid, laid out by you

Every module is a widget on a snapped drag-and-resize grid, not a fixed page someone else designed. Tasks next to spending next to the habit heatmap, in whatever order your week actually runs in.

02

The tier is about your data, not a feature wall

What separates Basic, Plus and Pro is what gets persisted on our side. Ask-and-forget work is Basic. Anything that has to run while you are not looking is Plus. Anything stored, encrypted and durable is Pro.

03

Basic is local-first, and that is the whole point

Tasks, notes, habits, whiteboard strokes and expenses live in IndexedDB on your device; settings in localStorage. Nothing is kept server-side, so there is nothing on our side to leak.

04

Pro is the encrypted tier, and only Pro

The password vault, the document writer and automatic backups stay behind the top tier even in principle. That is gated by capability, not by the persistence rule — a vault needs real encryption work wherever the bytes sit.

Every module, in one pass

Seven groups, one grid, one widget component behind most of them. Scroll to move through them.

What it will look like

Drawn, not photographed — there is nothing to screenshot yet. Five sketches of the interface being built, and the row follows your cursor.

Planner
A week you can see at a glance, laid out the way yours runs.
Money
Local and unsynced at Basic. Nothing leaves the machine unless you pay for it to.
Study
Courses, deadlines and what state each piece of work is actually in.
Whiteboard
One canvas, two modes — freehand ink and boxes joined by arrows.
Vault
Pro only, encrypted, and masked until you ask — the tier that holds real secrets.

Who it is being built for

Not personas from a workshop — the specific people the feature list was written against, and the tier each one lands on.

The final-year student

Basic

Four courses, a dissertation, and a part-time job that moves every week. The assignment list and the lecture calendar are the whole reason for opening it.

Course tracking · Assignments · Lecture notes calendar · Goal planner

The person who hates budgeting

Basic

Wants to know what the month cost without handing a bank login to anybody. Photographs the receipt, the text comes back, the number goes in, nothing leaves the laptop.

Expense tracker, local only · Receipt scan-to-text · Habit heatmap

The freelancer with side projects

Plus

Three clients, two of their own things, and a handful of small sites that need to still be up on Monday. The scheduled monitors are what the Plus tier is bought for.

Big Targets · Uptime monitors, scheduled · Subscriptions · Contacts

The household of two

Plus

One grocery board both people can add to, one trip being planned, and a fridge that nobody can remember the contents of from the shop.

Shared boards · Trip planner and map · Fridge stock · Meal plan

The one who keeps everything

Pro

Passwords, contracts, tax paperwork and nine years of spending, all currently in four places. Wants it in one, encrypted, and backed up without being asked.

Password vault · Document writer · Encrypted backups · Full financial history

The quantified one

Pro

Habits, mood, training and money have all been logged for years. The interesting question is what the last eighteen months of it actually say.

AI trend analysis · Habit heatmap · Ask your dashboard · Unlimited widgets

Three tiers, split by what happens to your data

Not a feature wall. Basic keeps everything on your device and asks the server only for work it forgets immediately. Plus adds the small registry needed to run things while you are away. Pro is the tier that stores your data, encrypted, and is built to be worth trusting with it.

Before you ask

Is any of this live yet?

No. The dashboard is being built, and this section is the plan rather than a product you can buy today. The tier split and the feature list are settled; the prices are what we intend to launch with.

What decides which tier a feature is in?

What happens to it when you close the tab, not how fancy it is. Ask-and-forget work — a price check, an OCR pass, an AI answer about data you just sent — leaves nothing behind and sits in Basic. Anything that has to run while you are not looking needs the server to remember what to check and where to tell you, which is Plus. Anything that has to be stored, encrypted and durable is Pro.

Where does my data actually live?

On Basic, on your device — IndexedDB for the bulk of it, localStorage for settings, nothing persisted on our side. Plus adds a small, low-sensitivity registry: watchlist symbols, monitor URLs, subscription dates, shared board contents. Pro is the encrypted store, and the only tier where passwords, documents and full financial history exist server-side at all.

Why is there no free tier?

Every tier reaches a server for something, and the on-demand work — receipt OCR, AI answers, price checks, uptime pings — costs real compute. Daily caps control that. A free tier would either be capped to the point of being useless or paid for by everyone else.

What happens if I stop paying?

The account goes read-only rather than dark. You keep export for 90 days and nothing is deleted before that, and anything Basic held locally was never ours to take away in the first place.

It is being built now

The grid and the shared data-widget come first, then the modules that sit on them. The early list gets the first invites, a say in which modules land next, and the lifetime price while it is still open.
